We are back in Arusha!
Praise God! We have arrived safely in Arusha, Tanzania after around 25 hours of traveling, through three airports and three different flights. Praise God! We did not lose any luggage, and had no major mishaps along the way!
Being back feels like getting back on a bike, or seeing a long lost friend again… in other words, it’s GREAT to be back! We couldn’t stop smiling as we got closer and closer to Arusha. When we landed, and walked down the steps to the tarmac, Katrina kept saying “We’re home!” and Heather kept shouting “We’re here! We’re here!” We jumped for Joy then as a family all of us, and praised God. The next best part was that we expected to run into some hassles with Customs, and they let us through without a hitch.
For now, we are staying at friends’ house, who left for America today and will be back in June. We’ll start looking for another house in a few days. In the meantime, we’ll be adjusting to being back and dealing with jet lag. Thank you everyone for your support, which allows us to come and work in Tanzania as Christ’s ambassadors.
